The IDO World Tap Dance Championship 2025 will take place in Prague, Czechia, UNYP ARENA, October 22 - 26, 2025.
IDO – International Dance Organization
The International Dance Organization (IDO), is a World Dance and Dancesport Federation consisting of OVER 90 member and contact NATIONS, representing more than 500,000 DANCERS, from all SIX CONTINENTS.
Do you want to DANCE WITH THE BEST, and participate in the many CHAMPIONSHIP AND WORLD CUP EVENTS, then contact your National Federation for information on its qualifying events.
The IDO is a non-profit organization registered under Danish law, limited liability and runs the official dance sport championships for the up to date and modern dances.

The IDO European Tap Dance Championship is organised by Tap Academy Prague, one of the world’s best tap schools, training numerous world champions among its competing team. Tap Academy Prague is also well known for its training programs for general public and ind various public events to promote and support Tap Dance worldwide.

CDO – Czech Dance Organization
The event is licenced and approved by Czech Dance Organization. The event is run under the auspice of Czech Dance Organization, that associates more than 20 000 czech dancers and runs Czech Dance Masters, the biggest dance tour in the Czech Republic for modern dance disciplines.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 25, 2024

Due to the high number of dancers and participating countries, the number of entries in each discipline and category is limited. The EPN (Entry Per Nation) is set to 5 for formations and groups, and 3 for solos, duos, and trios.
Starting fees – 35 euro/dancer
All starting fees from should be transferred by the IDO national organisation as required by IDO rules prior to the competition to the organiser account published on the official website.

How to register:
To register for the IDO European Tap Dance Championship, please contact your national dance organization.
Because of so many nations and dancers there is a limited number of entries in all disciplines and categories.
There are 5 EPNs (Entries Per Nation) to guarantee a smooth and successful running of the event.
Exceptions: Wild cards – defending champions (European Championship 2022)
If your country doesn’t have national dance organization, please contact IDO office.

Tickets for visitors will be sold at the main entrance cash only.
1 day ticket - 17 EUR
2 days ticket - 30 EUR
All competing dancers will have free entrance on both days of the competition. Children under 5 free of charge.

A delayed screen setup will be provided, allowing you to watch each performance again just moments after it happens.
Please mind, that NO videos or photos of your own could be taken IN FRONT OF THE JUDGES tables or disturb the official photo video production during the performances.

Catering on Site:
We encourage you to explore and enjoy the traditional Czech cooking along with a variety of international dishes. To ensure you receive your preferred meals, please make sure to pre-order your meals.

€14 per meal, which includes a main dish, a salad and a beverage (choice of water or lemonade)
